Isn’t it so lovely when you get to spend a weekend away from it all AND you get to spend it crafting and going for walks with a good friend? This weekend I paid a little visit to my friend Martha whom currently lives in Bath. We had the most amazing sunny wintery weather and we stumbled upon the first (early bird) Christmas Market of the season happening at Bath’s Green Park Station.
The Artisan Market, as it’s called, had over 60 stalls selling handmade, vintage, upcycled, food and art from local and artisan producers. Plenty of cute bits and bobs, and stocking fillers for everyone. These funny earrings from My Bear Hands were my absolute fave but I have uploaded some pictures of some of the other stalls.
The Artisan Market will be going back to Bath on the 9th of December with the theme “Christmas Food & Stocking Fillers Market” and it will hopefully come back on a regular monthly basis on the second Sunday of every month in 2013. They have some food stalls and even an area sponsored by Arty Kids Pottery Painting with a small painting workshop for the youngest of the family (I’m pretty sure they are friendlier than that serious dude in the picture…)
Speckled Wood was selling some really pretty laser-cut Christmas decorations but the winners of the stall were these retro biscuit fridge magnets that I would love to showcase in my tiny kitchen.
Some wonderful small bits from Six Eight.
Oh my lovely had some lovely accessories for your home. A bit of a mix but clearly they are all made with so much love.
They were other stalls more suited to the fact that it was an Artisan Market. Bespoke Leather makes some (now ever-trending) leather satchels. A bit different from the ones seen on the high street, which from my point of view, it’s clearly a bonus!
Me and my love for cozy items, specially slippers, could not help but notice these super comfy looking ones from Imago.
Some really chatty lady introduced us to The Bath Food Company. A variety of jams and chutneys all homemade from her own kitchen. I tasted them, they were delish.
And last but not least, more handmade varied goodness, from Picpac Naddywak (sorry folks, only a FB link available). Hope you find some inspiration to get your presents sorted, Christmas is only round the corner!
